A Royal Love

I have always been confused by why we, as Americans, are so fascinated with the royal wedding of William and Kate. I thought it was foolish and we should channel our energy elsewhere! For heaven’s sake we just brought home yet another fallen soldier this week. I must admit – I plea guilty!  I have been sucked in to the fascination of the holy matrimony by the heavy media exposure, to add to that, ALL I WATCH IS “E!”!!! I did not plan to watch the wedding as it aired; four in the morning is a half-an-hour after my bedtime. Because I’m a college student who doesn't go to bed until after three in the morning and was working on a paper I had a paper to finish, I watched the wedding live!   I have to admit it felt pretty good. The sun was slowly rising and the birds where singing their morning song. The lights were dim and the breeze was steady. It was just me, my laptop, notes, nature, and the coverage of the wedding!

The planner in me must mention the deetz!!! Srarting with

The venue! What’s not to love? Westminster Abbey was a flawless and was clearly fit for royalty. It was the first time for 650 years that it was used for a royal wedding. Prince William and Kate were expected to hold the wedding ceremony at St. Paul’s Cathedral where the wedding of Prince Charles to Lady Diana Spencer in 1981 took place, but the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (the new titles upon Prince William and Kate Middleton by Queen Elizabeth II) found greater significance to Abbey.

Transportation! What better way to wed royalty than in a horse drawn carriage?  What more to say…

Oh the FASHION + who was there!!!

I would’ve fit right in with the ladies topping their looks off with the fabulous hats!!!

~ My top 5 favorite looks!!! (not in this order)
Tara Palmer Tompkinson
I wish that she broke up the color - but I love this anyway!!!

Letizia, Princess of Asturias.
Simple yet elegant.

Victoria Beckham
Flawless fierce & mother to be x 4.
& Hubby - David Beckham
He is excused for wearing his pin on the opposite side - to honor his father.

Princess Beatrice of York
Her hat is by far my FAVORITE!

Princess Eugenie
Bold move & I believe that she pulled it off!

The Bridal Party! A lot of people are saying that, Kate's sister, Pipa Middleton stole the bride's thunder. I say that it is impossible!!! Kate clearly cares enough about her sister to put her in such a similar color and flattering gown on HER big day! That take's confidence, love, and morals.

~ I know my mom loved that Carole Middle wore blue as the mother of the bride!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST…

Kate Middleton – the Duchess of Cambridge was absolutely gorgeous!  She decided to wear Alexander McQueen’s successor, Sarah Burton. Her halo tiara lent by the queen covered her something borrowed.

~ THE TRUTH ~
You will soon learn that I am a sucker for love! My favorite part was the look in both of their eyes as they stared each other in the face when they meet at the alter. Priceless! The passion in their eyes, the ability to make each other smile with just one glance, the presence of love, is worth more than the wedding its self and the royalty that they attain.

Congratulations  to the Prince William and Princess Catherine Elizabeth ~ Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. May your love shine forever!!!
